This art-style is growing on me, and I enjoyed the story of this volume so much more than the last one. Even if Madame Masque didn't seem to be as much of a threat as she was in Matt Fraction's days, I liked how personal the story-line was to Kate, and I enjoyed the flashbacks (yeyy, purple!). I loved having Lucky back (he's so cute), and he even helped Kate by biting that bad guy and providing the means for an escape route! Yeyy, useful Lucky! The last issue was definitely my favorite. Issue 11: Kate climbing on the Hollywood sign reminds me of when it was changed to Hollyweed at the beginning of the year. With all her family stuff going on, I'm really surprised there hasn't been any mention of her sister--did the Hawkeye team forget about Susan? I'm also surprised/disappointed America hasn't been mentioned for a while; I know America and Hawkeye are different teams, obviously, but if they're both dealing with family issues, they'd probably be talking to each other more.UGH NO Issue 11: Kate climbing on the Hollywood sign reminds me of when it was changed to Hollyweed at the beginning of the year. This case was over pretty quickly--I know the main story here is about Kate's family, but the other stories could be a little longer. Issue 8: This is more serious than the first six issues, but I love learning about Kate's family.Issue 7: Kate backstory! (Though, where is her sister? Why isn't she in any of these flashbacks?) Little Kate in her bathing suit with the sides cut out!
