So this is my third one of these today, and again, it was just OK. I'll be straight up honest and admit this had a few things against it even before I started reading it. One, I am not a fan of friends to lovers books. Add in the fact that this guy kissed (at least once) and was hung up on this heroines best friend AND the heroine was a musician, and I knew unless it was amazing I was going to struggle with it. Not to mention the connection to the M&M series was tenuous at best. I thought all these spin-off books were about the bodyguards from the M&M series? But Cooper runs a ranch and just hires a bodyguard from M&M to protect the heroine...sigh. I don't know, maybe I have this whole crossover thing confused, or perhaps I was expecting something else. *shrug*So yea, this one was OK. I probably would have liked it more had I read some other books by this author that featured these characters. But then again, probably not since I got the feeling that Cooper was all hung up on Grace (Emily's BFF) in that series...not a scenario I am fond of, and it was brought up ad nauseum in this book. The writing was good though. It was super fast paced. The plot had a bit of mystery that was interesting. The characters were reasonably likable. The sex scenes were suitably hot. There was a bit of angst and no OW or OM drama. Last, it was all wrapped up in what felt like a series ending epilogue, but who knows.

PRE-ORDER Amazon US * Amazon UK3.5 StarsThere wasn't anything wrong with this story and I actually did enjoy reading it, but I never really saw a connection between Emily and Cooper. Their relationship just moved too fast for me and I felt like they were barely together in the book. It's a novella so I was expecting a fast paced story but it seemed like there were more pages dedicated to them apart than there were those dedicated to them as a couple and it left wanting more. I have been waiting FOREVER (or so it seems like) for this book, the very last in the Return to Me series by Corinne Michaels and a part of Lexi Blake's Masters & Mercenaries Crossover Collection! Cooper Townsend is...WOW!! I’ve been dying to read Cooper and Emily’s story ever since it was announced. It was so worth the wait (although I wish it was longer because he is just perfect!). Emily is the last single girl in the crazy Bell Buckle gang...and that’s how she likes it. She’s always wanted to get out of the small town and make it big in music. Sparks fly and they spend the next few days together before the show moves on. They realise they want to see where this goes but know that neither of them want Emily to miss out on her dream of making it big!In the meantime, Emily is receiving letters and flowers from her first crazy stalker! At first she thinks it’s the crew playing tricks until things become more serious and threats are made to both her and Cooper’s lives. In steps Wade, a bodyguard that Cooper grew up with during his rodeo days (who I’m hoping will get his own book!!) and he has now hired to protect Emily whilst he can’t be with her. The threats the stalker has been making towards Emily and Cooper escalate and Emily makes some decisions to protect them both...but are they the right ones when she knows how badly he has been hurt in the past?I’m not going to give anything away but I loved this book. Cooper is the perfect guy and it was great to see more of him!

Having said that, I initially struggled a bit to truly buy into the romance between Emily and Cooper. There was clearly a backstory to them, and not having read the rest of the series, it took me some time to wrap my head around it fully. It also made me feel like their connection was too instant for my particular tastes as well. That aside, I did enjoy the novella quite a bit once it got going. There's some suspense thrown in with Emily's stalker and the addition of Wade, the McKay-Taggard bodyguard assigned to protect her. The chemistry between Emily and Cooper may have been quick, but it was sizzling. By the end of the book I was rooting for them both. ARC courtesy of author in exchange for an honest reviewFind me on:

I have been waiting for his book since I met him in Say You’ll Stay. Oh man did I love it! Cooper and Emily have known each other for years but have never crossed that line. But when an unexpected visit happens, the attraction between them begins to sizzle and spark. Both have lives that are insane and drawing them in different directions, but neither of them can stop the burn they both are feeling. These two made my heart swell. It has been years in the making for them, but they were blind to it. Okay maybe not completely. Something or someone isn’t a fan of their budding romance. When Emily is put at risk Cooper is willing to do whatever is necessary to keep her safe. I like the tie in we have with Lexi’s series. I haven’t read the series, so after meeting one of her alpha men, I am definitely intrigued! Loved the story! I couldn’t get enough of these two. It’s another win in my box for Corinne. It has a bit of angst, a few sexy moments and a little bit of suspense. Seriously what more could you want! This is a great addition to those who love that little place in my heart known as Bell Buckle.Voluntarily read and this is my honest opinion

They both have had secret love crushes on each other for a long while, so the speaks flying and the permanent words they share are not surprising. There is drama and suspense and love and friendship all rolled into one beautiful story. I reviewed an ARC from the author, and I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. Must read!!

He has featured heavily in the series up to now, especially in the last book where he finally gave it a shot with Grace and got shot down. Emily also grew up in Bell Buckle and is Grace’s best friend. But unlike her friends who have all stayed in their home town, Emily couldn’t wait to leave and is now pursuing her dreams of becoming a country singer. Cooper and Emily have been attracted to each other for a while now, but neither of them have acted on it. Now, with their paths crossing while Emily is on tour, that attraction sparks to life and neither of them are unable to deny everything that has been building between them. “What pretty girl do you have your eyes set on now?”Cooper’s deep green eyes meet mine and they burn. Intensely. I see the heat pooling as his jaw tics just a little before he clears his throat. “The one that I’ve never quite been able to find.” Ho-ly Lord, the chemistry between Cooper and Emily is absolutely sizzling! They want each other, they don’t hide it, and even though their lives are different, neither of them are prepared to give up their chance to finally have something together. Cooper is everything I want and nothing I should have. And the truth is that I’m falling in love with him.If I’m honest with myself, I have been for a long time. But Emily’s fame is bringing about the wrong kind of attention, putting her in danger as she becomes the target of an obsessed stalker. Cooper is determined to protect his girl and brings in badass Wade Rycroft from McKay-Taggart security. With the threat looming closer, Cooper and Emily trying to figure out how to have a life together, and a broody, badass bodyguard along for the ride, it’s all happening. It’s an exciting, dramatic and passionately romantic journey with just the right amount of angst, and though it moves quickly and I would have loved seeing more of Cooper and Emily’s build up, it’s a novella so there wasn’t really time. But Corinne Michaels does a great job giving Cooper and Emily the happy ending they so beautifully deserve. All I want is for you to be happy, Em. I’ve waited a long time for this. I’m not goin’ to let it go.” This is a great read, and a wonderful finish to the Return to Me series, with a sweet epilogue and a beautiful glimpse into the future for these much-loved characters. 4 stars. An Advanced Review Copy was generously provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Emily Young grew up knowing she was destined to leave Bell Buckle. All she wanted was make it big as a country music artist and make something of herself. And she was finally on her way. She was an opening act and gaining traction. Her dreams were coming true. Then Cooper Townsend showed up backstage at a concert and changed everything. Cooper was tired of being second best and putting his dreams aside for everyone else. It was time for him to take what he wanted. Copper was sexy, strong, protective and very possessive. He was a good man with a good heart. But once he sets his mind to something, there is no turning back! Cooper was in Dallas to attend a conference, but with Emily in town for a concert as well, he finds himself backstage. Though they have known each other for years, it seems it is finally the right time for them! They have such a strong connection and chemistry. They spend hours talking. But with him in Bell Buckle and her on a tour, do they even have a chance to see where this can go? But when Emily is threatened, Cooper will stop at nothing to protect her. He brings in McKay-Taggert to protect her. But is it too late? Cooper will do anything to keep her safe, but will Emily push Cooper away just when she needs him the most?I loved visiting old friends and meeting new ones! Say You Won’t Let Go was so much fun to read. I loved the connection between Emily and Cooper and how they were determined to make this work. It was so sweet and sexy but also full of suspense. This was a great read with characters we love and though part of a series, can be read as a standalone. However, I highly recommend reading the Return to Me series as well, as they are great reads! Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog. Happy reading!

Say You Won’t Let Go is a novella in the Return to Me series. It can be read as a standalone but I do recommend reading the previous books at some point. Those Hennington Brothers are delicious. If you read them then you have met Cooper and Emily before. They grew up together on different sides of the tracks but you wouldn’t know it. Emily tied in perfectly with the group of cowboys and her girlfriends. Emily was on tour, opening for the one and only Luke Berry. She was doing it. Emily tied in perfectly with the group of cowboys and her girlfriends. Emily was on tour, opening for the one and only Luke Berry. She was doing it. She was making a name for herself in country music. She was traveling instead of staying grounded in Bell Buckle. She missed her friends but she didn’t want to end up like her mother. Going nowhere. Fast. She was doing what she loved. What she didn’t expect was to see him. Cooper Townsend. Backstage at her concert. Looking like the manly cowboy that he is. She wondered over the years if they could ever be but he was having a hard time letting go of Grace, her best friend. Maybe he was now ready to see what has been in front of him the whole time. Her. Cooper had to see her. He was in town and she was going to be on stage. He didn’t want to miss it. Seeing her living her dream. And when she ran into his arms backstage, he knew he made the right decision. He thought about her over the last year. More than he thought he would. He knew her. Was close to her. But he didn’t really see her until now. He wanted her and he hoped that she felt the same way. Emily and Cooper’s relationship is tested from the beginning. She was on tour. He had a ranch to tend to in Bell Buckle. She wouldn’t give up her music. Not even for a man. He couldn’t leave the ranch. Will they be able to have a future together and live apart? And will it even come to that with the threat looming over them? Overall...I loved this story. It’s short but has a lot of story. There are twists. Heat. Love. Suspense. The characters are strong, determined, sexy, and fun. It was awesome catching up with the Henningtons! P.S. I need to check out Lexi Blake’s series! Wade. Yum. Quotes: His hand lifts with hesitation, but then he cups my cheek. “I’m more of an ‘actions speak louder than words’ kind of man.”“I think it would be crazy if you didn’t miss me. I’ve been told that I’m a catch.”“You know what drives a cowboy to go radio silent?” “Pants too tight?”

Just when I thought I made it through my first book from Corinne without any tears.... Then the epilogue hits you... SOO CLOSE!Ohhh, Cooper... How I've been soo excited for your story! Cooper and Emily's story is short, I mean, it's a novella. They were perfect together. I adored their story; I love how effortlessly it flowed, yet Corinne added that suspense to the story. It made it feel like I was reading a full length book, when in reality, I read this book within 2 hours.Honestly, I don't kno Just when I thought I made it through my first book from Corinne without any tears.... I have adored every single one she has written. I fall for every hero; and I wish I was all the heroines. I adore the strength in each of the heroines Corinne creates.I loved that we got to see some of the gang; I've missed them!Another amazing book by Corinne, I mean, what else can you expect? ;)

3.5 stars, Cooper is my favorite from the Hennington Series and I am so happy to have his story. This was a fast and enjoyable read. I really liked the M&M crossover characters in fact I felt Emily was better suited with a guy like Wade. The strongest story line was what was happening on the tour. I felt like the connection between Copper and Emily was lacking maybe because it was a novella but they were apart for most of the book but their story felt forced.

Cooper is a very possessive man and doesn't like others ogling his woman, “darlin’, you need to go back and change,” Cooper says as he looks me up and down." Cooper is very protective of what's his, “there’s nothing for you to know other than in forty-eight hours I’ll have you in my arms and no one will get close to you.” I liked this novella Cooper wasreally rugged.
